Dean Styger
Dean is a qualified Chartered Management Accountant, with over 20 years’ experience in leisure and tourism, most of which has been in the holiday home sector.
From 1997, as Financial Director of Talacre Beach Caravan Sales Ltd, he led the acquisition team of 4 holiday home parks, culminating in 2006 with the £25m purchase of Plas Coch on Anglesey. All acquisitions were made with debt finance. At this time, the company had 6 holiday home parks, over 2,000 pitches and an annual turnover in excess of £30m. In 2011, 5 of the parks were sold for over £30m, retaining Plas Coch, which was subsequently groomed for sale and disposed of in February 2015.
Since then, Dean has worked, under the banner of Styger Consultancy Ltd, with a number of organisations, not restricted to holiday home parks, advising on controls and processes, management accounts, budgets, cashflows, forecasts, recruitment, organisation structure and software implementation.
He also has extensive knowledge of the charitable sector, having been treasurer of Disabled Living, Manchester’s second oldest charity, since 2007. In 2014 he was appointed chairman of Disabled Living.
